Internship Work
In the final year of college, I have gained a lot of experience by having both a gender internship as well as a communication internship. Both internships gave me professional experience on client consulting, market and statistic research, project management, and working in a team environment.
In my gender internship, I helped a startup company find multiple statistics on workplace violence from sources like OSHA and the Bureau of Labor Services. During the internship, my job was to find information on which business sectors were most vulnerable to workplace violence, in order to help my client begin to create educational modules for the business. Some details that I had to research included demographic characteristics of victims as well as gender and racial profiling of assailants.
In my communication internship, I worked closely as an Ambassador for the Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator program in Slippery Rock, PA. Here I worked with an individual client on developing a website as well as identifying and creating the company's personal brand. I also worked in multiple group teams to produce creative content for the SEA, including graphic design work.
